I was watching the latest episode of Ewen McGregor’s documentary “The Long Way Down” last night which is the episode where they reached Kenya.
It follows Ewan and his pal Charlie as they drive down the length of Kenya and shows the problems they faced with the roads and their motorbikes.
But they also stopped and visited a primary school out in the bush which was almost identical to the school that we visited two weeks ago. It really took me back and made me realise what a great priviledge it was to be able to visit the school and to help in just a very small way. As I mentioned yesterday I’ll be editing the video footage I took at the school and posting it here as soon as possible.
They also then visited a lodge overnight where they were lucky to see a family of elephants drinking at the waterhole. It was a great programme and if you are thining of taking your first Kenya safari I would recommend trying to get a copy.
